Arkansas Vehicle Registration
Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- Bill of Sale
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
- If you have questions about the bill of sale, contact your local DMV.
- Proof of Ownership
- Vehicle title.
- Signed Copy of the Lien Agreement
- If applicable
- Vehicle Registration Application
- Valid Arkansas Auto Insurance Policy
- Valid Form of Identification
- The Vehicle's Current Registration
- Federal Odometer Statement
- Only if the vehicle is less than 20 years old, the title's control number is less than 3003001, or the title is registered out of state.
- Can be filled out on the back of the vehicle title.
- VIN Verification
- Only if the vehicle you're registering was purchased out of the state of Arkansas and has a salvage or similar title.
- Proof of Vehicle Assessment
- Must be assessed or listed for assessment by your county's assessor within the current year.
- Proof of Paid Personal Property Tax
- Examples:
- County tax receipt
- Stamped assessment certifying tax payment.
