Florida Vehicle Registration
Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- Bill of Sale
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
- If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DMV.
- Application For Certificate of Title With or Without Registration
- Proof of Identity
- Applicable to all owners.
- Valid Florida Auto Insurance Policy
- VIN and Odometer Verification
- Only if the vehicle was previously titled outside of Florida.
- Emissions Test
- The state of Florida does NOT require an emissions test to register your vehicle.

*Residents of Florida have 30 days from the purchase date to register their vehicle.
