Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- Bill of Sale
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
- If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DMV.
- Honolulu County
- Hawaii County
- Maui County
- Kaua'i County
- The Previous Owner's Registration
- Application for Registration of Motor Vehicles
- Must be signed by all new owners on the title, if applicable.
- Current Safety Inspection Certificate
- Emissions Test
- Emissions tests are NOT required to register your car.

*Residents of Hawaii have 30 days from the purchase date to register their vehicle.
