Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- Bill of Sale
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
- If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DOT.
- Application for Certificate of Title and/or Registration
- Valid Form of Identification
- Emissions Test
- Emissions tests are NOT required in the state of Iowa.

*Residents of Iowa have 30 days from the purchase date to register their vehicle.
