Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- Bill of Sale
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
- If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local MDT.
- Vehicle Registration Application
- Valid Montana Auto Insurance Policy
- Emissions Test
- Emissions tests are NOT required in the state of Montana.

*Residents of Montana have 40 days from the purchase date to register their vehicle.
