Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.

  • Properly Filled Out Title
    • If the title is held by a lienholder, provide the security agreement.
  • Bill of Sale
    • Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
    • If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DMV.
  • Current Odometer Reading
    • Only for vehicles less than ten years old.
  • Application for Vehicle Registration
  • Vehicle Inspection Certificate
    • Only if the vehicle was previously registered outside of the state of Nevada.
  • Valid Nevada Auto Insurance Policy
  • Emissions Test
    • The state of Nevada requires emissions tests for all vehicles.

*Residents of Nevada have 30 days from the purchase date to register their vehicle.
