Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- Bill of Sale
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale
- If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DMV.
- Statement of Transaction Sales Tax Form
- Signed by both the buyer and seller.
- Title Application and Vehicle Registration Form
- Valid New York Driver's License or Photo ID
- Valid New York Auto Insurance Policy

- Safety Inspection
- Must be done at a DMV-licensed inspection station.
