Oregon Vehicle Registration

Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.

  • Properly Filled Out Title
  • Bill of Sale
    • Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
    • If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DMV.
  • Valid Oregon Auto Insurance Policy
  • Application for Title and Registration
  • Statement of Lien Satisfaction
    • If applicable
  • Odometer Disclosure Statement
    • Only if the vehicle is under 20 years old.
    • This is completed on a Secure Odometer Disclosure/Reassignment Form or filled out on the back of the title.
  • Emissions Test
    • The state of Oregon requires all vehicles in the cities of Portland and Medford to get an emissions test.

  • Payment for all Applicable Taxes and Fees

*Residents of Oregon have 30 days from the purchase date to register their vehicle.
