Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- Bill of Sale
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
- If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DMV.
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License or ID Card
- Safety Inspection
- Must be performed at an official PDOT inspection station.
- Vehicle Sales and Use Tax Return/Application for Registration Form

- Motor Vehicle Verification of Fair Market Value by the Issuing Agent
- Only if the vehicle purchased was priced under 80% of its fair market value.
- Previous Vehicles License Plates
- Only if you are transferring your license plates to the new vehicle.
- Emissions Test
- The state of Pennsylvania requires emissions testing for all vehicles with some exceptions.
