Oklahoma - How To Register Your Vehicle
Oklahoma Vehicle Registration
Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- Bill of Sale
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
- If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DPS.
- Application for Oklahoma Certificate of Title for a Vehicle
- Proof of Ownership
- Valid Oklahoma Auto Insurance Policy
- Lien Documentation
- If applicable.
- Odometer Disclosure Statement
- Only if the vehicle is nine years old or less.
- This can be filled out on the back of the title.
- VIN and/or Odometer Inspection
- Only if the vehicle was bought outside the state of Oklahoma.
- Performed by a tag agent.
- License Plate From Your Previous Vehicle
- Only if you are transferring your plates to the new
- Emissions Test
- The state of Oklahoma does NOT require emissions testing.

*Residents of Oklahoma have 30 days from the purchase date to register their vehicle.
