Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- Bill of Sale and Odometer Disclosure Statement
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
- If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DMV.
- Valid Vermont Driver's License
- Valid Vermont Auto Insurance Policy
- Registration/Tax/Title Application
- Lien Release Form
- If applicable.
- VIN Verification
- Only if the vehicle was not titled/registered previously in Vermont.
- Safety Inspection
- The state of Vermont requires all vehicles to pass a safety inspection within 15 days of the vehicle's registration.
