West Virginia Vehicle Registration
Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- If not held by a lienholder.
- Bill of Sale
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
- If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DOT.
- Odometer Disclosure
- Only if the vehicle year is 2011 or newer.
- Valid West Virginia Auto Insurance Policy
- Application for Certificate of Title for a Motor Vehicle
- Vehicle Inspection
- Only applicable to vehicles that don't have an inspection sticker.
- Must be inspected three days before titling and registering.
- Emissions Test
- The state of West Virginia does NOT require emissions testing.
