Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.

• Properly Filled Out Title
  • Can be a copy or just the title number.
• Bill of Sale
  • Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
  • If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DOT.
• Valid Wyoming Auto Insurance Policy
• The VIN
  • Only if the vehicle is financed.
• Weight Slip
  • Only if you are registering one of the following:
    • Pick-up truck
    • Motor home
    • Trailer (excluding pull-behind campers)
    • Horse trailer with living quarters
• Current Registration
  • Only if the vehicle was from a different state.
• Lease Agreement
  • If applicable.
• Application for Certificate of Title and VIN/HIN Inspection
• Emissions Test
  • The state of Wyoming does NOT require emissions testing.

  • The state of Wyoming charges both state and county registration fees.

*Residents of Wyoming have 45 days from the purchase date to register their vehicle.
