Wyoming Vehicle Registration
Failure to provide the following can delay the registration process.
- Properly Filled Out Title
- Can be a copy or just the title number.
- Bill of Sale
- Bring your PrivateAuto bill of sale.
- If you have questions regarding the bill of sale, contact your local DOT.
- Valid Wyoming Auto Insurance Policy
- The VIN
- Only if the vehicle is financed.
- Weight Slip
- Only if you are registering one of the following:
- Pick-up truck
- Motor home
- Trailer (excluding pull-behind campers)
- Horse trailer with living quarters
- Only if you are registering one of the following:
- Current Registration
- Only if the vehicle was from a different state.
- Lease Agreement
- If applicable.
- Application for Certificate of Title and VIN/HIN Inspection
- Emissions Test
- The state of Wyoming does NOT require emissions testing.

- The state of Wyoming charges both state and county registration fees.

*Residents of Wyoming have 45 days from the purchase date to register their vehicle.
