Vehicle Inspection Services
1. To get started, navigate to the services section here:
2. Click on 'See details' or anywhere inside the Inspection block here:
3. Here you can start the process to add this service by clicking on "Get this service.' We will also be offering a self inspection option coming in the near future that uses ai to detect any noticeable damage on the vehicle.
4. You will see a list of any cars that you have listed, favorited while browsing the marketplace, or have an active deal on. Select the vehicle you wish to order an inspection on and then click 'Choose vehicle.' If you don't see any vehicles on this modal you will need to add a favorite, start a deal or offer, or list a car.
5. Once you have selected your vehicle, we will calculate the inspection cost based on the type of car and location of the vehicle and display a quote here. Then click continue.
6. If you are the seller of the vehicle, we will ask you to confirm the location you would like the vehicle to be inspected.
7. If you are the buyer purchasing an inspection then you would see this modal instead of the above confirming we already have the seller info to purchase the inspection:
8. Next, if you have any special instructions or notes for the mechanic you can specify those here:
9. Lastly, you will need to agree to LemonSquad's terms and conditions to purchase the inspection.
10. We will collect your payment next but keep in mind you will not be charged until the inspection is completed.
11. If you are a buyer ordering an inspection, it will require the sellers approval for the order to go through. Upon setting up your pay later order, we will send an automatic message to the seller within chat asking them to approve the inspection as well as confirm their address information as seen here. Once approved, the order will be sent over to LemonSquad and a mechanic will coordinate with the seller to inspect the vehicle.
12. We will keep you informed on the progress of the inspection inside the service hub which you can always find by following this screen recording.
13. Each step will be recorded and once the inspection is completed and the mechanic has finished their report, it will be available for you to view and download directly in the app.
