How to Create a DealNow Deal

DealNow is a way to quickly do a private party car transaction. It's ideal for when you have a buyer or seller already lined up and want a secure, fast, and convenient way to close the deal. Here is how to start one.

Starting a DealNow Deal as a Buyer

From your PrivateAuto account, you will click Deals on the left sidebar. That will take you to the Deals page where you will click the Start a DealNow button.

You will then select the Buyer block to start a deal as the buyer and click Next.

You will then be asked if the vehicle is on PrivateAuto.

• If the vehicle is on PrivateAuto, you will click Yes and then select the Vehicle from your favorites or do a search for the vehicle so you can then add it to your favorites. Note: the only way you will be able to start the DealNow flow is if the vehicle has been added to your favorites. You can reference how to favorite listings here: How to Favorite a Listing
• You will then enter your offer amount and click Send Offer. The offer will go directly to the seller for review.

• If the vehicle is NOT on PrivateAuto, you will click No and then manually enter the year, make, model, and offer/ purchase price of the vehicle. Then you will select who is paying the service fee.

If you are paying the service fee, you will enter your credit card details and click the Pay button. NOTE: You will only be charged once you have purchased the vehicle. If the deal falls through and you do not purchase the vehicle you will not be charged.

Then you will be able to send an invite to the seller to start the deal process in PrivateAuto

Starting a DealNow Deal as a Seller

From your PrivateAuto account, you will click Deals on the left sidebar. That will take you to the Deals page where you will click the Start a DealNow button.

You will then select the Seller block to start a deal as the seller and click Next.

Then you will add or select your vehicle. If you have already added a vehicle, you will select your vehicle then click next. If you have not added a vehicle, you will click Add a new vehicle.

When adding a new vehicle, you will select the state your vehicle is registered in and then you will enter either your license plate or VIN.

You will then fill out your vehicle details and click Save vehicle and continue button

Then you will pay the service fee and can then invite the buyer into the deal process on PrivateAuto. Note: You will only be charged once you have sold the vehicle. If the deal falls through and you do not sell your vehicle you will not be charged.
