How To Verify Your Phone Number

Phone number verification is just another way PrivateAuto keeps users safe. Your phone number will not be sold, called by PrivateAuto, or displayed on your profile.

1. From the main account screen, press the "Verify" button next to "Identity."

2. Enter your phone number and legal name, then press "Send Verification Code."

3. Enter the verification code that was sent to the phone number you provided.
   • If you didn't receive a text, press "Resend Code." If you still didn't receive a code, make sure you entered the correct phone number. If you see an error, press "Change Phone Number" to make an edit.

4. Once you've entered the correct verification code, your phone number will be verified; however, you will not see a green checkmark next to that section until you complete the entire identity verification process.
