Do You Have A Co-Seller On The Title?

If you have a co-seller on your title and you sold your car, there is a section you need to be aware of and make sure it is completed properly. 

Almost every state uses the "and/or" rule. 

If you see "and" on the title, both owners must sign the title in order to transfer or change the title.

If you see "and/or" or just simply "or" on the title, only one of the owners needs to sign the title in order to transfer or change the title.

Although it is not currently available, PrivateAuto is working on adding a feature that will allow co-sellers to electronically sign the bill of sale directly from the PrivateAuto app.
